Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
In short: Neon Drift Zero collects no personal data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or trackers, and the game plays entirely offline. If you use Google Play Games (Android) or Game Center (iPhone and iPad), your scores and achievements are shared with it; otherwise the app only goes online to show you this policy and our terms.
This policy explains how the Neon Drift Zero apps for Android, iPhone and iPad ("the app") and this website handle information. They are made by the independent developer of Neon Drift Zero ("we", "us"), who publishes the app on Google Play and the App Store. Where the apps differ, this policy says so.
Information the app collects
None. The app does not collect, send, sell or share any personal information or usage data. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. Playing the game never needs the internet.
Information kept on your device
The app keeps two things in its private storage on your device, only so the game works:
- your best survival time;
- your settings: sound, vibration, tilt control, camera tilt, graphics quality and the FPS counter.
This information never leaves your device through the app. Uninstalling the app (on Android, clearing its storage in Android settings also works), or deleting it from your iPhone or iPad, deletes it.
Device backups
If backup is turned on for your device, Android may include the app's saved data in your device backup to your Google account, and an iPhone or iPad may include it in your iCloud or computer backup, as they do for most apps, so it can be restored on a new device. These backups are made by Android and Google, or by Apple, and controlled by your Google account or Apple Account settings. We do not receive them and cannot access them.
Viewing our policies in the app
When you open the Privacy Policy or the Terms & Conditions from the game's Settings, the app loads that page from this website (on iPhone and iPad, in Apple's built-in Safari viewer). Apart from Google Play Games or Game Center (below), this is the only time the app connects to the internet. The request is handled like any visit to this website (see "This website" below): the page sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties, and the app sends no information about you or your games with it.
Google Play Games (Android)
The Android app supports Google Play Games Services for a leaderboard ("Longest Survival") and achievements. If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device, the game automatically sends your survival times to the leaderboard and records the achievements you unlock. This information is linked to your Play Games profile and processed by Google under Google's privacy policy. Depending on your Play Games profile settings, other players may see your gamer name and score on the leaderboard.
We can see leaderboard entries (Play Games gamer names and scores) and achievement statistics in the Google Play Console. We don't receive any other information about you. If you are not signed in to Google Play Games, nothing is sent. You can manage or delete your Play Games profile and its data in the Google Play Games app or your Google Account.
Game Center (iPhone and iPad)
The iPhone and iPad app supports Apple's Game Center for the same leaderboard ("Longest Survival") and achievements. If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, the game automatically sends your survival times to the leaderboard and records the achievements you unlock. This information is linked to your Game Center profile and processed by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Depending on your Game Center settings, other players may see your nickname and score on the leaderboard.
We can see leaderboard entries (Game Center nicknames and scores) and achievement statistics in App Store Connect. We don't receive any other information about you. If you are not signed in to Game Center, nothing is sent. You can manage your Game Center profile and its privacy in your device's Settings under Game Center.
Device check (Android)
Each time the Android app starts, it checks on your device whether the device is rooted, for example by looking for root-management apps and files that rooting leaves behind. The game doesn't run on rooted devices. This check happens entirely on your phone: the result is not stored, and nothing about it (or about the other apps on your device) is sent anywhere.
Permissions and sensors
The iPhone and iPad app asks for no permissions. The Android app declares the ones below.
- Internet: used to show the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions from this website when you open them, and by Google Play Games or Game Center for the leaderboard and achievements.
- Vibration (haptics on iPhone): used for short vibrations when you crash or narrowly miss a cube. You can turn it off in the game's Settings.
- Motion sensor (no permission needed): used only if you turn on "Tilt control", to steer by tilting the device. Readings are used in the moment and are never stored or sent anywhere.
Google Play
When you install the app from Google Play, Google processes your download under Google's privacy policy. Through the Google Play Console, Google gives us only aggregated statistics, such as the number of installs, and anonymous crash and performance reports from users who have chosen to share diagnostics with Google. These don't identify you, and we use them only to fix problems and improve the game.
App Store
When you install the app from the App Store, Apple processes your download under Apple's privacy policy. Through App Store Connect, Apple gives us only aggregated statistics, such as the number of downloads, and crash reports and usage data from people who have chosen to share analytics with app developers. These don't identify you, and we use them only to fix problems and improve the game. The app's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected".
This website
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. It is hosted by Vercel, which, like any web host, may process technical information about each request (such as IP address, browser type and time) in its server logs to deliver and protect the site. See Vercel's privacy policy.
If you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you, never share it or use it for marketing, and delete it when it is no longer needed for your request.
Your choices
We don't hold personal information about you, apart from any emails you send us, which you can ask us to delete at any time using the contact below. Your leaderboard scores and achievements belong to your Google Play Games or Game Center profile: you can manage them there, or ask us to remove a score from our leaderboard. Step-by-step instructions are on the Delete your data page.
Children
Neon Drift Zero does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app or website handles information, for example by adding new online features, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and update the date above.
